We had good attendance at the Board meeting on Thursday, with 15 of 21 directors clearing time on their schedules on short notice.  Thanks to all who attended and who tried to make it.
 
One highlight was the decision to hold regular monthly Board meetings at 7:00 pm on the first Monday of the month, beginning March 1.  The meeting notice indicated we would be setting a schedule for future meetings, and no one responded that the first Monday of the month would represent a scheduling problem.
 
Another highlight was the decision to postpone election of new officers until the April Board meeting.  When we meet on Feb. 13, we should discuss and resolve how to organize those elections.
 
A third highlight was the decision to move forward on addressing PLBRA’s non-compliant tax status and on creating a second class of membership in PLBRA, to be comprised of all residents who do not pay our annual individual per-person dues.  An important feature of this plan is to list the privileges and benefits of membership of Voting and Non-voting members.  If you can think of any other items to be added to either list (see Exhibit C), please advise the officers by e-mail.
