2010 Annual Meeting Attended by Overflow crowd
An overflow crowd of members attended The Annual Meeting of members of the Park La Brea Residents Association at noon on Sunday, January 10, 2010, in the Theater at the Activities Center at Curson Square. The officers reported to the members on the events of the past year, including background on the governance changes that occurred beginning in July, the simplified mission statement, the Association’s financial condition, and the opportunities to get involved with the committees that will do the real work of PLBRA in 2010.
The newly set limit of 21 members for the PLBRA board of directors was filled by a secret ballet after short presentations by each
candidate present.
The newly elected board members will meet once before the mandated February 13, 2010 board to set the format and consider issues for the February 13 meeting, where traditionaly the officers of President, vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are selected by the board.
